AUTISM AND VACCINES

October 10, 2007 · Leave a Comment

I’ve been spending the last several days reading up on this subject. I have always read about autism since I realized the increase of this affliction in young children. And just lately, my sister who has a child in daycare called me on the subject. She was beside herself with fear–which I helped to create with all my criticism of the mmr–because it was time for his 15-18 month old shots. After staying up until 1 am or so the last couple of nights, here’s what I think on the subject.

I think the CDC should be sued for malpractice. I think they have blatantly disregarded the health of children all across American because they refuse to admit any wrongdoing. But does that mean I think that mmr’s are bad. No, it doesn’t.

Here’s why. I no longer believe that the mmr causes autism. But I do believe it is a major cause in the causation of autism.

Check this out. And this site isn’t the only one. There are many, many doctors out there that are researching this topic. The CNN article is actually evidence that the antibiotics are a problem. While the antibiotic in question initially showed positive results, it stands to reason that the antibiotics would create more yeast which would in turn make the symptoms of autism even more severe. And a really good one right here; I like the more in depth links to other articles.

I am of the opinion that the combination of the antibiotics, and the live measles virus are all factors. And I believe the moms are right.

And my opinions of the CDC are based on the fact that they should have the best interest of children at heart. Children should not be given shots that are under suspicion. At the very least, the mmr vaccine should be split into its individual components to see if that makes a difference. What could it hurt? Why not take the most conservative methods when little children are involved? And why is the CDC not leading the fight to determine the cause of autism? Instead, they’re in the back pockets of the pharmaceutical companies, in my humble opinion, and are only acting in response to parents who are leading the fight against autism.

The CDC should be performing study after study–at the expense of the pharmaceutical companies who are making money off of these vaccinations–to determine what underlying predisposition that many of these precious little children might have. Are they studying yeast in children with autism? Are they studying food allergies?

And onto another topic, thimerosal , how could they have ever sanctioned the use of mercury as a preservative in shots given to babies. It is an atrocity that this has even happened at all. It is gross negligence on the part of the medical community as a whole that these shots were ever given out, even if they did no harm. I’d like to see a doctor volunteer for a shot of mercury in his or her arm. (Thimerosal is not in the mmr. It was in the Dtp shots. It is supposed to have been discontinued by now, but…)

And do I dislike vaccines? No! All of my children are vaccinated, but on my terms and by my schedule. I’m the parent.
