and it actually is working. My foot problem has really changed things. First of all, no parks or playgrounds and no Apologia botany. I can’t walk around outside with the kids. The pain is sometimes excrutiating. Since the shot, it hurts worse than before. I am sure that I need another one, and I hope it will work. The doctor told me that sometimes the first shot helps to localize the pain. In fact, the injury may be an inch or two long and may simply require two or three shots.
Enough rambling, I don’t feel comfortable taking my wandering 2 year old outside with my foot as it is. So, my kids are doing Exploration Education alone a couple of times a week for science. For history, I’ve purchase Biblioplan. It’s perfect for us because I owed all of the spines and a bunch of books that I subbed out for the one they listed. All I did was purchase the pdf and tweak it to death.
Everyday we do, Classical Writiing for her and Writing Tales for him. Math for both. Memory readings for both. One sheet of piano theory from the website on my sidebar. History, Bible and Literature reading for 30 minutes or so. Ten minutes of copywork. The Fun Spanish.
Latin is three times a week. They watch TV in Spanish almost everyday. Science twice a week. One extra math lesson on Friday and Saturday. They do Piano in the morning and at night. Typing for 10 minutes at night and one Calvert Spelling lesson about 3 x a week.
They love it. We get everything done that I want or can do for now. And I am back to working on projects. I’m really figuring it out. I’m having a blast! Except for my foot.
