IF YOU’RE INTO NUTRITION AND HEALTH, YOU’VE GOT TO LISTEN TO THIS

December 9, 2008 · 1 Comment

I love listening to Dr. Wong speak. And his enzymes work! I ran out of the old enzyme formula 3 days ago and my foot is spasming even though I haven’t physically hurt it again.

When I take the systemic enzymes, I feel pain only when I put pressure on the entangled nerve. I love his enzymes they really do remove inflammation. They work! And his new ones are less expensive, but they’re new so I haven’t tried them yet. I’ve taken the old ones for over a year.

I’m trying his new zymessence as soon as it gets here.

VITAMINS THAT HAVE CHANGED MY LIFE!

April 21, 2008 · Leave a Comment

B Complex 50

Co enzyme Q10 (like a morning cup of coffee without the stains to my teeth :) )

Yeast Away  (Digestive Enzymes that contain cellulase.  They digest the cellular coating on yeast and elminate them from the digestive tract.)

VItal zym (These are systemic enzymes that help all of the bodies systems to work.  With out enzymes, vitamins are useless.)

Magnesium (My dc and I take this every night.  It helps us to sleep well as well acts like a muscle relaxer.  It also helps one of my kids with regularity.  One has a major problem in this area and the magnesium helps a lot.)

OKAY, I HAVEN’T BEEN BLOGGING BECAUSE I’VE BEEN EXHAUSTED

February 27, 2008 · 1 Comment

Everyday has been a struggle just for me to get the basics done. I agonize over doing laundry and anything else that is like work. I have struggled to get school work done. In fact, we had to take last week off and this week off. My nights are full of sleeplessness, and my days are full of sleepiness. However,…..

Today, I took Co Enzyme Q10. WOW!!!!!!!!!! I feel fantastic!!!! I can’t believe my level of alertness. And here’s the reason why. I normally start of with new vitamins by taking the smallest dose possible and working my way up to an activation dose for me–basically, where I can feel the effects.

Well, I bought the smallest SIZE bottle of CO Q10. But this one was double the concentration. Big mistake! But I was so tired, I didn’t notice the difference. I have been living in a fog for months possibly years. Well, yesterday I took one and I had the best and deepest night sleep of my adult years. And my 2 year old was in the bed with us for most of the time. (I can’t remember when he climbed in.) Anyway, I took another Q10 this morning, 200mg. I was so alert today. I wasn’t as angry with the children. I had the patience to explain to them why I was upset with them for disobeying me. I even played a card game with them. I haven’t played a game with my older children since Christmas and before then must have been months.

I even took the kids to the park. Now, I do that regularly. But I have to talk myself into it and guilt myself into it and then trust in God that I will feel better when I get there. Today, I felt better before we even left the house. I feel fantastic!

I will reduce my dosage to every other day, though because 200 mg is a lot to take for anybody. And I am going to buy a new bottle with a lesser concentration dose. Then I can take it everyday. Btw, did I say I feel fantastic?

I FINALLY GOT A STEROID SHOT, ONE DOWN AND ONLY ONE MORE TO GO :(

January 21, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Actually, it wasn’t so bad.  And considering the intense pain, which felt like I was being shocked by electricity, it was well worth it to do.  But man did it ever BURN!  It hurt like the dickens.  But, yeah!, it’s 1/2 better and I can put my weight on both feet now.  I’m no longer walking on my big right toe. :)

After the next shot, I am going to take another week off and then the kids and I are going to start running.  They had to take time off of their feet as well.  All 4 of my kids have pronating feet.  This meets they have falling arches.  For my dd9 this is extremely painful.  She has naturally higher  arches than her brother, and when she doesn’t have her inserts she’s in intense pain. But all is well, the new larger size inserts came in, after only 2 months :( , and they’re ready to run too!

I can’t wait.

A NEW HEALTH REGIMENT–HERE’S THE DEAL

January 1, 2008 · Leave a Comment

I weighed 155# when I got married, and I wore a size 9. I weight 158 today–18 # more than my new normal weight as of 10 years ago–and I wear a size 12. This is of course 4 children later. Also, my latest health concern is my foot. It hurts like crazy, whether I run or not. I’ve got up to running really really slowly for 4 miles straight. It takes me 1 hour. I can go faster, but immediately electrical shots shoot up my foot.

Well, God is so good. I started off the new year with prayer and a commitment to try again to be sugar free for the next 40 days, kind of a fast. Well, later this morning, I’m watching this woman on TV, Valerie Saxon, ND and mother of 8, discussing the benefits of liquid collagen. She mentions the benefits of the tightening of joints, repairing tissue, weight loss, and good sleep. Now this is not the first time I’ve heard of liquid collagen. I read up on it years and years ago, but at that time, I didn’t have the problems I am having now.

So, I am off to the store to buy me some liquid collagen and vitamin C. It seems that according to this study, GLA (evening primrose oil) and liquid collagen help with injury reparations–specifically joint issues and  inflammation.  The problem with my foot is the inflammation which causes the nerve to bulge through the bones. I’ve tried Ibuprofen until I’ve been sick to my stomach, and the next alternative is a steroid shot. Well, from what I know of steroid shots they cause bone loss. I have searched for side effects to the collagen–a natural substance of the body–and I can’t find any.

So, we’ll see if this helps. Happy New Year to all of you and Good Luck to my right foot.

MY FOOT IS DOING MUCH BETTER

October 30, 2007 · Leave a Comment

I posted here about it once or twice.  Since then I’ve been to see a podiatrist.  She had me wear these cushions under the ball of my foot for two weeks.  I only did it for one because it was actually worse with it than without it.

Also, she had me take motrin 3x a  day.  I did that for a week, then stopped.  It upset my stomach.  But I think it relived the inflammation considerably, but my foot is definitely better even without the motrin.

And the most important thing she had me do was to ice my foot 4x per day with a frozen water bottle.  That did wonders.

One night after the gym (she told me to start exercising again) I iced my foot and because the swelling went down, I could feel a bump under the bone.  It seems that I bruised the bone on the bottom of my foot.  And as long as I run nice and easy, it doesn’t hurt any more than walking.  Which means that I am running as fast as some people walk.  15 min/mile.  I can go faster–I think–but if I did, I’d probably re-injure my foot again.

But at least I get to exercise.  And yesterday, I felt no pain at all.

FINALLY, WHAT SUGAR DOES TO YOU, ALMOST

October 18, 2007 · Leave a Comment

I forgot to actually post what affects sugar has on the body. But here is a very interesting study about the long term consequences. It makes great sense.

Also, I personally believe that high sugar intake, (high carb meals) are behind the early puberty for most young people.  This really makes sense to me and goes along with the article above on the affects of sugar.

I FORGOT TO MENTION WHAT WE DO FOR VACCINE PREP

October 17, 2007 · Leave a Comment

Because I believe that getting vaccinated is a good thing, but also believe that yeast infections + vaccines are partly to cause for autism, I prepare my kids for their shots by the following:

I beef up their immune systems by giving them live active cultures–probiotics.

I also give them Yeast Away or Candex or something similar. These products contain cellulase or hemi-cellulase. Both of these are digestive enzymes that eat away at the cellular coating on yeast. They destroy the yeast without causing the painful die-off affect that is usually present when killing off yeast. They are wonderful.

Enzymes are under appreciated and underrated. Vitamins and minerals are the body’s building materials; enzymes are the workers that make things happen. Enzymes should be in our food that is uncooked–like fruits and vegetables. But unless we eat a ton of salads, we don’t get enough. And also even if we do, the fruits and vegetables are picked off the vine before they are fully ripe when they have more enzymes in them.

If I had to choose between vitamins, minerals, and enzymes, I’d take enzymes first, then minerals, then vitamins. Without the proper digestive enzymes, we don’t digest our food properly.

The last thing, I’ve added to their diets is Cod Liver Oil. Every night they get a tsp. And they get calcium and magnesium. Then for fun, they get gummy bear vitamins, on occasion.

AUTISM AND VACCINES

October 10, 2007 · Leave a Comment

I’ve been spending the last several days reading up on this subject. I have always read about autism since I realized the increase of this affliction in young children. And just lately, my sister who has a child in daycare called me on the subject. She was beside herself with fear–which I helped to create with all my criticism of the mmr–because it was time for his 15-18 month old shots. After staying up until 1 am or so the last couple of nights, here’s what I think on the subject.

I think the CDC should be sued for malpractice. I think they have blatantly disregarded the health of children all across American because they refuse to admit any wrongdoing. But does that mean I think that mmr’s are bad. No, it doesn’t.

Here’s why. I no longer believe that the mmr causes autism. But I do believe it is a major cause in the causation of autism.

Check this out. And this site isn’t the only one. There are many, many doctors out there that are researching this topic. The CNN article is actually evidence that the antibiotics are a problem. While the antibiotic in question initially showed positive results, it stands to reason that the antibiotics would create more yeast which would in turn make the symptoms of autism even more severe. And a really good one right here; I like the more in depth links to other articles.

I am of the opinion that the combination of the antibiotics, and the live measles virus are all factors. And I believe the moms are right.

And my opinions of the CDC are based on the fact that they should have the best interest of children at heart. Children should not be given shots that are under suspicion. At the very least, the mmr vaccine should be split into its individual components to see if that makes a difference. What could it hurt? Why not take the most conservative methods when little children are involved? And why is the CDC not leading the fight to determine the cause of autism? Instead, they’re in the back pockets of the pharmaceutical companies, in my humble opinion, and are only acting in response to parents who are leading the fight against autism.

The CDC should be performing study after study–at the expense of the pharmaceutical companies who are making money off of these vaccinations–to determine what underlying predisposition that many of these precious little children might have. Are they studying yeast in children with autism? Are they studying food allergies?

And onto another topic, thimerosal , how could they have ever sanctioned the use of mercury as a preservative in shots given to babies. It is an atrocity that this has even happened at all. It is gross negligence on the part of the medical community as a whole that these shots were ever given out, even if they did no harm. I’d like to see a doctor volunteer for a shot of mercury in his or her arm. (Thimerosal is not in the mmr. It was in the Dtp shots. It is supposed to have been discontinued by now, but…)

And do I dislike vaccines? No! All of my children are vaccinated, but on my terms and by my schedule. I’m the parent.

YEAH!!!!

September 9, 2007 · 1 Comment

I went running today–old lady running for you regular sports enthusiasts. I’m all stiff and tight now, but I did it. I ran for 30 minutes straight and covered a little over two miles. Now I know this is not a lot, but I AM 15 pounds overweight right now. And I do have an injured foot. I did pretty good. My goal is 45 minutes to an hour without stopping.

And today–I just had to write about this–at the grocery store, an old gray-haired man, about 70, stopped me in the dairy department to explain the benefits of live active cultures to me. Well, I just smiled and thought, “a man after my own heart.” Anyway, after his 2 minute talk, he turns away and then turns back to me and says, “You are one beautiful lady.”

Now, I’m 38 years old. My knees hurt, my toes hurt, and sometimes I forget to comb my hair. I was so happy. I smiled so big all of my teeth showed. Turning a 70 year old man’s head just made my day.

And even though the whole event fills me with joy, I do realize that I need to get out of the house a little bit more.
